Job description

The Product Management team drives Asana’s product strategy and execution, translating customer needs and opportunities into a compelling roadmap and working cross‑functionally to deliver impactful solutions for team productivity and collaboration. We’re helping to define the Work Management category and inventing new ways for teams to work more efficiently together and see the larger purpose behind their work. Our team works directly with Engineering, Design, Experience Research, and Data Science, as well as with Sales, Support, and Marketing to ship great products. You’ll take part in every type of product work here — from strategy to product to process improvements — conceptualizing, launching, and iterating on Asana itself for millions of teams around the world.

We are looking for an experienced product manager to join the team responsible for key elements of Asana’s work platform strategy. Over the next 2 years, a critical piece of Asana’s strategy is to continue building out a platform that can support many different types of workflows. You’ll be responsible for understanding how customers need to structure work to enable their workflows and build out the features to meet those needs directly, and enable other Asana R&D teams to incorporate structure into their features. You’ll work with a large set of cross-functional partners across our GTM and internal teams to learn about how internal and external customers of all sizes need to customize their core Asana experience to support their workflows, and how your work fits within the entire customer lifecycle so that we customers feel confident in structuring their work in the right way at the right time to power.

This role is perfect for a product manager with deep customer empathy for the complexity of mapping messy work to a structured tool, has an end‑to‑end ownership mindset, and drives for results. We are looking for someone who has experience building software in partnership with enterprise customers, strong product intuition, and can marry qualitative insights with quantitative data to deeply understand the customer experience. You thrive on learning from customers, and are excited to partner with engineering, design, user research, sales, and the rest of our amazing PM team.

This role is based in our Warsaw office with an office‑centric hybrid schedule. The standard in‑office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in‑office requirements.

What You’ll Achieve
  • Define and deliver a compelling roadmap to ensure customers have the structure they need to power their end‑to‑end workflows.
  • Synthesize input from customers, user research, data science, and business partners, ensuring we are continuously investing in the right ways to structure work, and shifting quickly when an area is no longer leveraged.
  • Take new initiatives from 0 to 1, and then scale them up as we validate product market fit.
  • Partner closely with design, engineering, marketing, and customer success to co‑create a cohesive end‑to‑end journey and execute on the roadmap with velocity.
  • Collaborate across the R&D organization to support other R&D teams in achieving their goals.
About You
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with at least 1‑2 years experience on B2B SaaS.
  • Customer‑centric: you spend time directly with customers to understand their nuanced challenges and synthesize research to identify and solve problems.
  • Communication and collaboration: demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams, clarifying complex concepts and writing precise product specifications. You pair effectively with design, engineering, and our business teams.
  • Systems thinker: think systemically, creating solutions that simplify complex use cases for customers.
  • Strategic: provide strategic insights and create intuitive connections within the custom field & types features and platform to address critical customer issues.
  • Get Stuff Done: execute projects with high velocity, breaking them down into MVPs and iterative stages for impactful delivery.
  • Grow Team Asana: foster team morale and share best practices in product management.
  • Growth Mindset: embrace a growth mindset, welcoming feedback and maintaining curiosity in learning.
