Job summary

A global mobility platform is seeking a Product Manager to lead the product team in defining products that address real user problems. The mission of a Product Manager
  • Lead product team towards its mission and the overarching product vision via the product strategy
  • Define products that solve real user problems and meet business needs
Everyday life as a Product Manager
  • Ensure product discovery takes place to understand and address user needs and problems and to ensure that products and features that are selected to build are valuable (will people buy it, or choose to use it?), usable (can users figure out how to use it?), feasible (can we build it with the time, skills, and technology we have?) and viable (will this solution work for the various dimensions of our business?).
  • Own the product life cycle, including an understanding of when it is necessary to sunset relevant functionality/services/products
  • Develop deep product domain knowledge and be the go-to expert of the product/s
  • Be the product’s Number One Evangelist
  • Communicate product evolution outside of the product team
  • Manage expectations with stakeholders
  • Manage go-to-market strategies and rollout of new features
  • Align with other PMs/PA s/teams/functions as needed
  • Gather requirements, input, bug reports and feedback and share with team
  • Share knowledge, insights or expertise on e.g. the business, the product or the competitive landscape to contribute to a learning environment
  • Act as the Product Owner as part of the agile team/s
  • Protect the team's focus from disturbances and distractions and be clear on priorities
  • Maintain a prioritized product backlog and roadmap that considers both functional and non-functional aspects to build and maintain a product and platform that meet user and business needs, is secure, stable and scalable
  • Ensure there are metrics/KPIs and processes to follow up on the success of deliveries/features and the core product/s
  • Represent the product team in the quarterly planning process
  • Apply an MVP/MLP mindset and know how to figure out when a product is ready to launch on a wider scale
  • Empower and inspire the team and team members to have ownership of key problems to solve
  • Celebrate wins and learn from mistakes together with the team
  • Minimum Viable Product / Minimum Lovable Product
