Data is useful when it helps you decide what to do next - not when it just produces another dashboard.
At Profitroom, we build hospitality technology used by thousands of hotels and millions of guests. We're currently looking for a Product Analytics Consultant (Mid/Senior) who can turn product data into insights, recommendations, and better product decisions.
You’ll work closely with our Product Director, Product Managers and Data Team, helping us understand what users are doing, why they're doing it, how product changes affect their behaviour, and where the biggest opportunities are.
Key goals and responsibilities:
- Product analytics & insights: Define meaningful product metrics, analyse user behaviour and translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Data analysis: Use SQL, Python and BI tools to turn raw data into insights that support product and business decisions.
- Experimentation: Design and evaluate experiments, applying statistical methods to understand product performance and user behaviour.
- Analytical ownership: Take ownership of key analyses and initiatives that contribute to product strategy and development.
- Tracking & data quality: Collaborate with software and data engineers to ensure reliable tracking and data modelling.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Product, UX and Engineering to bring data into everyday product decision-making.
What will help you succeed?
- 3+ years in product or data analytics, ideally in a SaaS/product environment.
- Advanced SQL and hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker/Data Studio or similar.
- Product analytics mindset: Experience defining metrics, analysing user behaviour, working with tracking and running experiments.
- Statistics: Solid understanding of statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making.
- Python: Basic practical knowledge and willingness to develop further. PySpark is a strong advantage.
- Business communication: Ability to translate complex analyses into clear conclusions and recommendations for Product Managers and other stakeholders.
- AI mindset: You already use AI tools in your daily work and are curious about new ways AI can make analytics faster and more effective.
- Languages: Polish C1 and English min. B2.
- Experience working with Git/GitLab.
- Experience combining product and business analytics.
- Previous experience in a SaaS environment.
- Experience with PySpark.
- Strong examples where your analysis influenced a product decision, experiment or product strategy.
Probably not for you if:
- You're mainly interested in reporting and dashboard maintenance rather than understanding why something is happening.
- You prefer receiving predefined analytical tasks rather than asking questions and investigating problems.
- You're uncomfortable challenging assumptions when the data tells a different story.
- You want to work with data in isolation rather than closely with Product, UX and Engineering.
