GSK Poznań is seeking a SMAS Process Improvement Specialist to drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across SMAS management and production accounting. Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and prioritize process improvement opportunities across the SMAS organization using data and performance metrics.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects focused on standardization, simplification, automation, controls enhancement, and productivity.
  • Facilitate process mapping, documentation, root cause analysis, and problem-solving workshops.
  • Collaborate with operational teams and SMEs to design, test, and implement improvements.
  • Support the development and maintenance of global process documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Monitor process performance and SMAS KPIs, identifying control gaps and inefficiencies.
  • Partner with SMAS Digital, Tech, and RPA teams to deploy digital tools and automation solutions.
  • Support governance forums and progress updates with analyses and recommendations.
  • Act as a change champion, communicating and training stakeholders on new processes.
  • Contribute to design of global RACI matrices and governance standards.
  • Participate in ERP, SAC, S/4HANA projects, representing SMAS requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with Finance teams, GPOs, Finance Partners, Digital & Tech teams.

SMAS Process Improvement Specialist

Job Purpose
  • Support the Global Process Owner (GPO) in driving standardization, simplification, automation, and continuous improvement across SMAS management and production accounting processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for process excellence methodologies, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, controls, and user experience across global SMAS.
  • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives, partnering with operational teams, Finance stakeholders, Digital & Tech, RPA, and C&C to deliver sustainable business benefits.
  • Support the design, implementation, and governance of global process standards, procedures, controls, and RACI frameworks.
  • Drive adoption of best practices, standard ways of working, and digital solutions across the SMAS organization.
  • Contribute to global process and systems deployments, ERP evolution, and process optimization initiatives supporting the SMAS operating model.
Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor process performance and SMAS KPIs trends, identifying control gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with SMAS Digital Team, Digital & Tech teams, Blackline CoE and RPA to evaluate and deploy digital tools and automation solutions.
  • Support governance forums, process reviews, and standardization initiatives by preparing analyses, recommendations, and progress updates.
  • Act as a change champion, supporting communication, stakeholder engagement, training, and adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of global RACI matrices, process ownership frameworks, and governance standards.
  • Participate in ERP, SAC, S/4HANA, automation, and other relevant projects, representing SMAS process requirements and business needs.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with Finance teams, GPOs, Finance Partners, Digital & Tech teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence across the SMAS organization.
Basic Qualifications
  • Degree level education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in finance and accounting processes, preferably within manufacturing, cost accounting, or shared services environments.
  • Track record of leading or supporting process improvement, automation, transformation, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to drive change, challenge existing practices constructively, and build engagement around improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
