Job summary

Ciklum is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Poland to lead cross-functional architecture and platform delivery for B2B SaaS products. You will shape technology strategy, drive high-impact refactors, and mentor senior engineers across multiple teams.

The role emphasizes global cloud deployments, secure coding practices, and collaboration with product leadership to balance near-term delivery with long-term maintainability.

Qualifications

• Ten years of overall experience with at least five years as Staff or Principal engineer at B2B SaaS startups.
• Strong systems design: scalability, reliability, performance, data consistency, and operational maturity.
• Experience with global cloud systems, multi-region deployments, DR/BCP, and observability.
• Proven success setting architectural direction across multiple teams and durable technical decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to author clear design docs and influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture across product and platform, defining service boundaries, data modeling, and API standards.
• Lead architecture reviews and influence roadmaps balancing delivery with long-term simplicity and performance.
• Identify opportunities for simplification, modularization, and shared services; drive cross-team execution.
• Introduce new technologies, establish best practices in design, testing, CI/CD, and production readiness.
• Mentor engineers, build architecture guilds, and lead design workshops; raise engineering quality.
• Guide architecture for global cloud deployments and certification readiness with Security/Compliance.
