Job summary

International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher role within the RNA-Prime project. The successful candidate will work on RNA biology, protein expression/purification, and structural studies under Prof. Gracjan Michlewski and in collaboration with Prof.

Marcin Nowotny. We seek a recent PhD in biological sciences with strong lab skills in molecular biology and protein biochemistry, including protein purification; familiarity with

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biological sciences or related field obtained within the past 5 years.
• Solid knowledge in molecular biology and protein biochemistry.
• Experience in protein purification; knowledge of crystallography and/or cryo-EM is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to publish in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare expression constructs and express viral proteins in bacterial and eukaryotic systems.
• Purify proteins and characterize protein–nucleic acid interactions.
• Conduct structural studies of viral proteins.
• Draft scientific papers and present results at conferences.
• Collaborate with the RNA-Protein Interactions group.
