Job summary

Lodz University of Technology is inviting applications for a postdoctoral research position in the Institute of Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry. The role focuses on developing and optimizing synthesis under photochemical organocatalysis, contributing to high-impact research publications.

The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge organocatalytic studies, prepare reports, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team on a national/international scale.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.
• Documented research record with publications in journals with global reach.
• Strong knowledge of organic chemistry and research interests.
• Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of spectroscopic methods for identifying organic compounds.
• Ability to work in a team and be motivated, creative, and independent.
• Ability to write articles/reports in English and strong English communication skills.
• Ph.D. obtained no earlier than 7 years prior to employment; for female applicants, extension possible per child policy.

Responsibilities

• Post-doc will conduct research on photo-organocatalytic reactions.
• Identify new reaction pathways and optimize conditions.
• Prepare interim reports and scientific publications based on results.
• Be employed under an employment contract for the project duration.
