Job summary

Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Physics, Nuclear Physics Division is seeking a Research Assistant Professor to study pairing dynamics in nuclear reactions using time-dependent density functional theory. The role involves investigating nuclear collisions, superheavy elements, and superfluid dynamics with access to leading HPC resources.

The candidate will develop and apply advanced computational methods, contribute to project management, and collaborate with international partners.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree or foreign equivalent in a relevant field with strong publication record in nuclear or condensed matter theory.
• Proficiency in many-body quantum mechanics and programming in C or Fortran.
• Knowledge of MPI or CUDA and experience with supercomputing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on pairing dynamics in nuclear reactions and time-dependent DFT.
• Contribute to software development for HPC systems used in open science.
• Collaborate with USA and Japan partners and publish findings.
