Instytut Filozofii i Socjologii Polskiej Akademii Nauk ogłasza nabór na stanowisko postdoktoralnego w projekcie badawczym. Osoba zatrudniona prowadzić będzie niezależne prace badawcze, przygotowywać publikacje i organizować pracę zespołu, również we współpracy z partnerem z Czech.

Wymagana jest inicjatywa i dobra organizacja pracy. Wymagane jest ukończenie PhD, dobra znajomość języków angielskiego i polskiego na poziomie bardzo dobrym, oraz doświadczenie w socjologii i teorii społecznej.

Post-doc position in a research project “Between Nationalism and Internationalism: Changing Concepts of Emancipation in Polish and Czech Post-Stalinist Philosophy and Social Theory ” , financed by the Polish National Center for Science ( 2024/55/I/HS2/03125)

The tasks of the person employed in the post-doctoral position will include:

1. Conducting independent research on a topic selected in consultation with the rest of the project team;

2. Preparing publications for print, both solo and co-authored with other members of the project team;

3. Organizing the team’s work;

4. Liaising with the partner team at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences;

5. Working on the editing of a collective monograph;

6. Supporting the team leader and other team members in conducting research;

7. Assisting in the organization of conferences and other academic and outreach events as part of the grant;

8. Preparing research reports and presenting research findings at academic conferences.

Selection process

The competition will run in two stages. In the first stage, the Contest Commission will pre-evaluate the candidates on the basis of the submitted documents. The highest rated candidates will be invited to an interview with a recruitment task which is the second stage of the competition. The interviews will be held in end September and beginning of October, 2026.
