Job summary

UPM Paper in Nowa Wieś Wrocławska, Poland, is seeking a Specialist, R&D and Technology to lead emulsion polymerization projects and develop new dispersions and coatings based on water-based systems.

You will design research plans, document results, monitor process parameters, and collaborate with raw material suppliers, reporting to the Global Development Manager, Polymerization, PD and Innovations. Fluent English is required and the role is on-site.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in chemistry; polymers specialization is a plus.
• Experience in emulsion polymerization and water-based coatings.
• Ability to plan and conduct research, with strong analytical skills.
• Fluent English; other languages are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct emulsion polymerization processes on a laboratory scale for dispersions.
• Create research plans, maintain documentation, and prepare reports.
• Develop methods to verify dispersion performance and film properties.
• Monitor process parameters and collaborate with raw material suppliers.
