Job summary

The City of Fort Worth Police Department Records Division is seeking a Customer Service Representative II to provide accurate records and data to the public and agencies in a courteous and timely manner, improving access via the Records Management Center.

Work Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with some evenings or weekends; pay range $18.32–$22.90 per hour. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 11 paid holidays, pension, and professional development; CJIS background checks apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of responsible customer service and clerical experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Drug Screen, Polygraph, CJIS background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist the general public, City departments, and other agencies with offense and accident records.
• Respond to inquiries and complaints in a timely and efficient manner following policies, procedures, and laws.
• Receive and process Public Information Requests using FOIA software per Texas laws and guidelines.
• Perform duties of Police Records Management Center liaison, including receiving, releasing, and destroying records; schedule records services.
• Receive calls for service from the public and other agencies; assist citizens at the window with requests; perform cashier duties related to revenue.
