Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking experienced automation engineers for intralogistics projects. The role is hybrid with travel about 60% annually across Europe, the USA, and Canada, offering global exposure and client interaction.

You will program PLCs (Beckhoff, Siemens), commission automation and robotics, and contribute to FAT/SAT tests and documentation, aligning with safety standards and industry norms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a similar automation role (industrial/ intralogistics).
• Experience programming PLC controllers (Siemens, Beckhoff, or Rockwell).
• Willingness to travel ~60% of the year across Europe and North America.
• Fluent Polish and English (B2 level) required.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning automation and robotics systems for clients.

Job description

The Engineering Services department implements advanced projects in the field of industrial automation, and due to the dynamic development of new initiatives, we are looking for experienced automation engineers for projects in the intralogistics industry.

This is an opportunity for those who want to work with modern systems, have a real impact on project implementation, and develop in an international environment. The work is hybrid and involves business travel (about 60% of the time over the year) across Europe, the USA, and Canada — a great opportunity to gain global experience and work directly with clients.

We are looking for specialists with solid experience in programming PLC controllers and commissioning systems and production lines, who have carried out projects independently or as part of larger project teams. Intralogistics projects are an attractive and promising development direction, especially for engineers with experience in the automotive industry who want to expand their competencies and work with modern solutions that automate material flow.

Your tasks

• Programming industrial controllers (Beckhoff, Siemens)
• Commissioning industrial automation and robotics systems for clients in Poland and abroad
• Participation in FAT/SAT tests and production support
• Preparation of software, technical and project documentation with particular emphasis on safety requirements and industrial standards
• Parameterization, commissioning, and optimization of industrial automation components – presses, vision systems, drives, etc.
• Resolving current production line failures (if necessary)

Requirements

• Experience working with PLC controllers (Siemens, Beckhoff, or Rockwell)
• Willingness to travel for business approximately 60% of the time during the year, including to Hungary, Germany, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Italy, the USA, and Canada
• Higher technical education: Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related fields
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the intralogistics or automotive industry
• Knowledge of English at the B2 level
• Fluent knowledge of Polish is required
• Must reside in Poland
• Possession of a valid passport

Nice to have

• Knowledge of additional controllers, e.g., Allen-Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi
