Job summary

ISS A/S is seeking a Platform Engineer (Analytics, Data & AI) to join our Warsaw-Porto team. You will design and operate scalable Azure infrastructure, automate deployments, and collaborate with Analytics, Data & AI to scale solutions globally.

The role requires strong DevOps experience with Azure, IaC (Terraform or GitOps), and CI/CD tooling. English fluency and cross-functional collaboration are essential in our hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• > Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role focusing on cloud infrastructure.
• > Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (architecture fundamentals).
• > Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or GitOps tooling).
• > Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
• > English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Azure infrastructure (ARM, VNet, Private Endpoints, Storage, Key Vault).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps; manage agents and artifacts.
• Monitor and improve system health with Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor.
• Define security controls (RBAC, identities, NSGs) and secure service-to-service communication.
• Optimize costs with Azure Cost Management; automate with Python and Azure SDKs.
• Troubleshoot cross-domain issues across infrastructure, networking, CI/CD, and apps.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and continuous improvements.

The Job Role as Platform Engineer (Analytics, Data & AI):

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer/IT Engineer with strong experience in Azure services to join our team. The ideal candidate will play an important role in managing, automating, and improving our cloud infrastructure, with a focus on function apps, storages, databricks and AI services like Microsoft Foundry on Azure. You will collaborate closely with the development and project teams from our Analytics, Data & AI area. These platforms have a global scale.

What you’ll do:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, including Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Virtual Networks, Subnets, Private Endpoints, Private DNS, Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, Azure Event Grid, Azure Monitor, Diagnostic Settings, and Azure Container Instances.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including self-hosted agents, artifact management, and automated pipeline execution.
• Monitor and improve system health and performance using Prometheus, Grafana, Check_MK, Azure Monitor, and logging frameworks.
• Define, implement, and maintain security controls aligned with ISS standards (RBAC, managed identities, service principals, NSGs, secure service-to-service communication).
• Optimize infrastructure costs and performance using Azure Cost Management and related tooling.
• Develop automation and integrations using Python scripts, REST APIs, and Azure SDKs.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, networking, CI/CD, and application layers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and contribute to ongoing improvements within the team.

Must have :

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role focused on cloud infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including architecture fundamentals (Subscriptions, Resource Groups, networking, compute, load balancers, security, monitoring).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or GitOps tooling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Nice have:

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash), including API integrations and Azure SDK usage.
• Understanding of cost, security, and performance optimization in Azure environments.
• Have a strong interest in understanding the Azure AI landscape and want to be part of delivering AI platforms for developers to use for building strong solution.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
