Job summary

ISS A/S invites a Cloud & Platform Operations Engineer to join the Warsaw-based ISS Tech Team. You will manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, while driving automation and incident response.

In this role you will work on cloud migrations toward Azure IaaS/PaaS, implement security measures, and collaborate with Security Architects to maintain up-to-date guidelines. Hybrid work in Warsaw supports flexible collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform (IaaS/PaaS) and security features.
• Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep) and related tooling.
• Understanding of DNS, NSG, and virtual networks.
• Experience with containerization and AKS is a plus.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Assist cloud migration initiatives towards Azure IaaS or PaaS.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and implement security best practices for Azure workloads.
• Handle cloud-related incidents and requests, including security events.
• Contribute to cloud projects from design through operational readiness checks.
• Maintain Azure Security Guidelines with Security Architects to follow best practices.
• Participate in hosted applications lifecycle management processes.

The Job Role as Cloud & Platform Operations Engineer

Cloud Operations Engineer will manage and optimize an organization’s cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective. Will contribute to continuous improvements by automating operations, monitoring performance and handling incident response. Will support Company’s transformation by facilitating seamless cloud transitions for applications and services often using tools for Infrastructure as a Code managing deployment.

What you’ll do:

• Assist cloud migration initiatives towards Azure IaaS or PaaS.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and implement best practices to increase security posture for Azure workloads.
• Handle cloud infrastructure related incidents and service requests, including security related ones (e.g. app firewall events).
• Participate in cloud Projects, to contribute to their activities from its design phase, ending with operational readiness checks.
• In cooperation with Security Architects maintain Azur Security Guidelines to be always up-to-date and to follow market best practices.
• Be part of hosted applications Lifecycle management process.

Key qualifications:

Must have:

• Strong skills in Azure cloud platform, 4+ years hands-on admin, deployment or migration experience.
• Understanding of Azure Security features.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of IaC framework (Terraform or Bicep) and associated tools.
• Understanding of core networking concepts like DNS, NSG, vNets.
• Containerization / AKS knowledge will be a strong advantage.
• English proficiency, both written and spoken

Nice have

• AZ-104, AZ-500, SC-200 certification as a plus.
• Experience in administration of Windows/Linux is a plus.
• Some skills with scripting in PowerShell or Bash.
