Job summary

RED Global is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer for an international collaboration. The role concentrates on building a cloud-native platform on Azure and Kubernetes, leveraging Terraform and Crossplane to automate infrastructure and deliver self-service capabilities.

You will architect solutions, implement IaC, and lead CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Argo Rollouts. Strong English and remote-work readiness are required for this long-term engagement.

Qualifications

• Long-term project experience as Platform Engineer.
• Long-term project experience with Azure project focus.
• Strong project experience with Kubernetes Cluster (AKS).
• Strong project experience with Terraform including API gateways, service mesh (Istio ambient) and microservices at production scale.
• Strong project experience in IaC (OpenTofu/Terraform, Crossplane v2).
• Experience with advanced CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Argo CD/Rollouts).
• Nice to have: Kafka, Databrick and or/Kong.
• International project experience in large organisations.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response and deep-dive troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Mentor platform and SRE engineers.

Job description

For our international client, we are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer across Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform and Crossplane. You will be required to design detailed platform solutions based on requirements and implement the tech stack based on Azure. The client is building a Data Platform which is a cloud internal developer platform that adapts to its host ecosystem (Azure today, any cloud next) by orchestrating 70+ best-in-class OSS and managed services.

Tasks

• Architect and deliver cloud-native, self-service platform capabilities across Azure
• Detailed platform design based on high-level design requirements (Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform and Crossplane)
• Implement solution
• Automate infrastructure with IaC (OpenTofu for Day-0, Crossplane v2 for Day-1+)
• Lead CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) with progressive delivery via Argo Rollouts
