Job summary

Red Commerce Schweiz GmbH is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design and implement cloud-native platform solutions across Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform and Crossplane. You will help build a data platform that supports 70+ OSS and managed services and automate infrastructure with IaC.

The role is 100% remote from Poland, starting in November for at least two months (with rolling extensions). You will lead CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Argo Rollouts, and mentor SRE engineers

Qualifications

• Need long-term project experience as Platform Engineer with cloud-native solutions.
• Strong experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform and Crossplane.
• Experience with IaC and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Argo CD/Rollouts).

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver cloud-native, self-service platform capabilities.
• Lead CI/CD pipelines and automation via IaC tools.
• Operate and scale AKS clusters, ensure high availability.

Platform Engineer (Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, crossplane) - Start November - Remote - 2 months+For our international client, we are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer across Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform and Crossplane.You will be required to design detailed platform solutions based on requirements and implement the tech stack based on Azure.
The client is building a Data Platform which is a cloud internal developer platform that adapts to its host ecosystem (Azure today, any cloud next) by orchestrating 70+ best-in-class OSS and managed services.Tasks* Architect and deliver cloud-native, self-service platform capabilities across Azure

• Detailed platform design based on high-level design requirements (Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform and Crossplane) Implement solution Automate infrastructure with IaC (OpenTofu for Day-0, Crossplane v2 for Day-1+)
• Lead CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) with progressive delivery via Argo Rollouts Create Azure Data Factory pipelines Operate and scale Kubernetes fleets on AKS (Azure) with Cilium (L3/L4), Istio ambient mesh (E-W), and Kong (N-S); guarantee high availability
• Lead incident response and deep-dive troubleshooting to minimize downtime
• Mentor platform and SRE engineersRequirements Long-term project experience as Platform Engineer Long-term project experience with Azure project focus * Strong project experience with Kubernetes Cluster (AKS)
• Strong project experience with Terraform including API gateways, service mesh (Istio ambient) and microservices at production scale
• Strong project experience in IaC (OpenTofu/Terraform, Crossplane v2)
• Experience with advanced CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Argo CD/Rollouts)
• Nice to have: Kafka, Databrick and or/Kong
• International project experience in large organisations
