As a Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer, you will build and maintain standardized container images and CI/CD pipelines that power our cloud‑native platform.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in DevOps, Build/Platform Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on with Docker, container image design and optimization.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, SBOMs and dependency management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain standardized base container images used by service teams.
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines to be reliable, fast, and observable.
• Set best practices for image layering, caching, and reproducibility.
• Partner with security teams to integrate vulnerability scanning into CI/CD and reduce remediation time.
• Enable engineering teams to ship safely and confidently and influence platform tooling decisions.

About the role

As a Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer, you will build and maintain standardized container images and CI/CD pipelines that power our cloud‑native platform. You will improve build performance, security, and reproducibility while setting best practices for container design, dependency management, and supply‑chain security across teams.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain standardized base container images that service teams can extend
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines to make them reliable, fast, and observable
• Establish best practices for:
  • Docker image layering and optimization
  • Build caching and reproducibility
• Partner with security teams to:
  • Integrate vulnerability scanning into CI/CD
  • Reduce blast radius and remediation time for CVEs
  • Reduce friction in builds and deployments
  • Creating clear documentation and golden paths
• Act as a multiplier for engineering teams by enabling them to ship safely and confidently
• Influence architecture and tooling decisions across the platform

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Build Engineering, or Platform Engineering
• Strong hands‑on experience with:
  • Docker and container image design
• Deep experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience standardizing platforms across multiple teams or services
• Solid understanding of:
  • Vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Trivy, Snyk, Grype, Clair)
  • SBOMs and dependency management
• Ability to balance technical depth with organizational influence
• Strong communication skills and comfort working across teams

Nice to Have

• Experience building internal developer platforms
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with policy‑as‑code (OPA, Conftest)
• Experience in regulated or security‑conscious environments
• Prior experience acting as a “force multiplier” for large engineering orgs
