Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Cloud & Platform Specialist to shape the technology foundations across engineering applications and platforms. You will collaborate with software teams, architects, cybersecurity specialists, and partners to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-efficient platform services.

You will drive improvements in cloud and platform environments, contribute to governance, and support adoption of AI and high-performance computing workloads across multiple projects and domains.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Strong understanding of modern cloud platforms, IaaS and PaaS.
• Experience with containers, networking, security, and IaC.
• Ability to govern solutions delivered by external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of cloud and platform environments.
• Collaborate with teams and partners to define platform solutions.
• Evaluate infrastructure designs proposed by vendors/service providers.
• Improve scalability, performance, reliability, security, and costs.
• Support evolution of computing platforms and cloud-native services.
• Contribute to governance, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Participate in architecture discussions and strategic decisions.
• Support adoption of AI, HPC, analytics platforms, and AI workloads.
• Establish reusable platform standards and best practices.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for infrastructure initiatives.
