Job summary

Slate is seeking a hands-on Plant Vehicle Engineer, Propulsion, HV Systems & Chassis to support vehicle assembly, launch readiness, production quality, and continuous improvement for propulsion, high‑voltage, thermal, and chassis systems in a Warsaw assembly plant.

You will liaise with Design & Release Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production, Suppliers, and Service teams to resolve plant and vehicle‑level concerns.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related automotive engineering or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field preferred.
• Experience with drive unit(s), HV battery interfaces, HVIL, thermal systems, or vehicle integration is preferred.
• Must be willing to relocate to Warsaw, Indiana with relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Support launch and ongoing production of propulsion, HV & chassis systems in a vehicle assembly plant environment.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues related to drive unit installation, HV interfaces, and chassis assembly.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to resolve plant and vehicle-level concerns and support change implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects and improve build quality in production.
