Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Plant Project Engineer to lead and support industrial gas and plant projects across Europe, including Poland. You will act as a technical contact for customers and internal teams, manage scope, budget, and schedules, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start‑up.

The role requires a degree in engineering, project delivery experience, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

• Understanding of project management principles and engineering work processes.
• Strong commitment to safety leadership and safe construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of industrial gas and plant projects across Central and Southern Europe.
• Act as a key technical contact for customers and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support Project Managers in delivering larger capital projects.
• Lead smaller projects, taking ownership for scope, budget, schedule, safety and technical quality.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, contractors and consultants to achieve project objectives.
• Manage activities including engineering design, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning and start‑up as required.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with Air Products standards, procedures and safety requirements.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular project status updates to management and stakeholders.
• Support proposal development, scope definition, resource planning and cost estimation activities.
• Identify and manage project risks, changes and opportunities throughout project execution.

Plant Project Engineer

Location:
• Czech Republic – Prague, Decin, Litvinov
• Poland – Warsaw, Wloclawek, Kedzierzyn Kozle, Siewierz, Wroclaw
• Spain – Barcelona, Cornella

Contract: Permanent.
Experience: Project engineering within industrial, engineering, EPC, manufacturing, energy or process industries (preferred).
Education: Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

• Ability to coordinate multiple activities and priorities in a structured manner.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and suppliers.
• Ability to influence, negotiate and build consensus across diverse groups.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Collaborative approach with willingness to share knowledge and support team success.
• Professional level English language skills (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel for site inspections, construction activities, commissioning and start‑up support across the region.
