Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Plant Project Engineer to support the development and execution of industrial gas and plant projects across Central and Southern Europe, including Poland. You will act as a technical contact for customers and internal stakeholders, lead smaller projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure on‑time, safety‑driven delivery.

The role requires an engineering degree, experience in project engineering within an industrial setting, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Experience in project engineering or delivery within an industrial or technical environment.
  • Broad technical knowledge of engineering disciplines such as process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation or controls engineering.
  • Understanding of project management principles and engineering work processes.
  • Commitment to safety leadership and safe construction practices.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities and priorities in a structured manner.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and suppliers.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and build consensus across diverse groups.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Collaborative approach with willingness to share knowledge and support team success.
  • Professional level English language skills (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel for site inspections, construction activities, commissioning and start‑up support across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of industrial gas and plant projects across Central and Southern Europe.

  • Support Project Managers in delivering larger capital projects.
  • Lead smaller projects, taking ownership for scope, budget, schedule, safety and technical quality.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, contractors and consultants to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage activities including engineering design, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning and start‑up as required.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with Air Products standards, procedures and safety requirements.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular project status updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Support proposal development, scope definition, resource planning and cost estimation activities.
  • Identify and manage project risks, changes and opportunities throughout project execution.

Plant Project Engineer

Location:
• Czech Republic – Prague, Decin, Litvinov
• Poland – Warsaw, Wloclawek, Kedzierzyn Kozle, Siewierz, Wroclaw
• Spain – Barcelona, Cornella

Contract: Permanent.
Experience: Project engineering within industrial, engineering, EPC, manufacturing, energy or process industries (preferred).
Education: Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
