Qualifications

• Master’s degree in biotechnology, chemistry, biology or a related field.
• Experience in working with in vitro cultures; yeast cultures are an advantage.
• Knowledge in molecular biology.
• Experience with bioinformatics is welcome.
• Strong English language skills (written and spoken) for publications and presentations.
• Strong motivation for scientific work, commitment, creativity, independence and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Participate in scientific and research work in the OPUS-19 project on cucumber multi-omics data integration.
• Analyze protein-protein interactions by in silico methods and verify with yeast two-hybrid assays.
• Perform library preparation, yeast handling, PCR and analyze Sanger sequencing results.
• Prepare reports and scientific publications and actively promote the project.
• Prepare a doctoral dissertation; project to be completed with a doctoral degree within 12 months.
