Qualifications

Payments Specialist

Location: Bucuresti, Bucuresti, RO, 077190

Responsibilities
  • Executing centralized, automated payment runs across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Performing scheduled and ad-hoc payments in line with the payment calendar and internal controls.
  • Validating, uploading, and releasing payment files from ERP systems to banking platforms with required approvals.
  • Monitoring ERP–bank interfaces and investigate rejections, failures, or anomalies.
  • Resolving payment issues, including failed, rejected, or duplicate transactions, escalating when needed.
  • Collaborating with Treasury and finance teams to ensure funding availability and correct payment execution.
  • Acting as a key contact for business and finance stakeholders on payment-related queries.
  • Supporting continuous improvement, system testing, and automation of payment processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in payments or Accounts Payable, preferably in a multinational or shared services environment.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics).
  • Knowledge of SEPA, SWIFT, and European banking standards.
  • Fluency in English and at least one European language from the Pepco network; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high payment volumes under tight deadlines.
  • Structured, reliable, and able to follow procedures and controls rigorously.
  • Proactive team player with a service-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, and a problem-solving approach.
