Job summary

42dot Inc. in Poland is seeking a seasoned System Software Engineer to lead tooling for the Vehicle OS and the Software Defined Vehicle OS (SDV OS). You will design and build tooling for distributed messaging, vehicle emulation, and monitoring, driving the autonomous driving platform forward.

Ideal candidates have strong skills in C/C++, Linux, and distributed systems, with exposure to DDS, GRPC, and Protobufs. Fluency in English and teamwork are essential for collaboration across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Good command of C and C++.
• Experience with or willingness to learn Rust.
• Experience in Linux system software development, including distributed computing.
• Understanding of distributed computing systems (setup, usage, development).
• Familiarity with modern distributed protocols or frameworks such as GRPC, Protobufs, SomeIP, DDS.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, and implement functionality and User Experience of tools for Vehicle OS such as messaging monitoring tool, messaging recording/replay tool, Vehicle emulator.
• Work with messaging systems based on Data Distribution Service (DDS) spec.
• Be responsible for the software and tools for the vehicle of the future.
