Job summary

GlobalLogic in Poland (Wroclaw) seeks an experienced Oracle DBA focused on the data tier and Exadata health. You will manage storage, tuning, security, backups and high availability for RAC and Data Guard configurations.

The role requires 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience, RAC expertise on Exadata/ODA and strong Linux skills, with optional enterprise manager and monitoring tools. International projects await.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge as an Oracle DBA, Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional or comparable, 5+ years in projects.
• Strong RAC setup, monitoring and optimization on Exadata/ODA environments, 5+ years.
• Experience with Oracle Database Appliances in HA variants (ODA X8-HA, X7-HA, X5-HA).
• Good knowledge of Oracle Data Guard, 2+ years.
• Advanced Linux skills (shell, file management, processes and networks).

• Managing database storage, performance tuning (indexing, execution plans), and Exadata features.
• Ensuring data security, user access control at schema level, and encryption.
• Handling backup, recovery, patching, and high availability (RAC/Data Guard).

Client is company based in US, provides solutions and common infrastructure to enable telecommunications partners to deploy and expand next-generation technologies

Requirements

• Expert knowledge as an Oracle DBA, qualification according to Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional or comparable, current project experience > 5 years
• Very good knowledge of setting up RACs (on ODA) as well as monitoring and optimizing applications that run on the RAC, experience > 5 years
• Very good knowledge of the administration and configuration of Oracle Database Appliances in the HA variant (ODA X8-HA, ODA X7-HA or ODA X5-HA), current project experience > 3 years
• Good knowledge of Oracle Dataguard, experience > 2 years
• Advanced Linux knowledge (shell, file management, processes and devices, resource monitoring, networks)

Optional requirements:

• Good knowledge of installing and configuring Oracle Enterprise Manager
• Good knowledge of database monitoring with Icinga 2 or Nagios
• Good knowledge of setting up and running RACs in VMs

Must have:Oracle GoldenGate,Oracle Analytics (OAC / OAS),Oracle BI Publisher (now integrated into the Oracle Analytics Publisher suite)

This profile focuses entirely on the data tier, the physical infrastructure, and the health of the Oracle Database running on your Exadata server.

• Core Responsibilities: * Managing database storage, performance tuning (indexing, execution plans), and Exadata-specific features (Smart Scans, Hybrid Columnar Compression).
• Ensuring data security, user access control at the schema level, and data encryption.
• Handling backup, recovery, patching, and high availability (Oracle RAC/Data Guard).
• Scope in your stack: They control the Exadata container/pluggable databases (CDBs/PDBs) where your APEX applications and the OAS Repository Creation Utility (RCU) schemas live.
