Operational Buyer - World Wide Technology - Netherlands

For the 15th consecutive year, World Wide Technology (WWT) has secured a place among the best companies to work for worldwide, ranking 10th on Fortune's Global list of best workplaces. That’s not a coincidence — it’s the result of a culture built around one belief: our people are our greatest asset. Join us, and you’ll be joining a truly international, fast-growing organization that invests in your growth as much as it does in its technology.

Who We Are

World Wide Technology is a global technology solutions provider with more than $20 billion in annual revenue and over 12,000 employees worldwide. Since 1990, we’ve grown from a technology reseller into one of the largest privately-held companies in the world, partnering with 80+ of the Fortune 100 and top technology providers like Cisco and NVIDIA. Our expertise spans AI, cybersecurity, digital transformation, cloud and data center infrastructure, networking, data analytics, and automation — helping organizations bring transformational ideas to life, safely and at scale.

Behind every solution we deliver is a robust global supply chain and logistics operation, and our warehouse teams are essential to keeping that engine running for customers around the world.

About the Role

The Buyer position resides within the Global Order Operations team and interacts directly with Inside Sales, WWT Account Managers, Order Management, Program Managers, authorized suppliers and end-user customers when necessary. This role is expected to develop and maintain strong business relationships with both internal and external customers. This involves working closely with suppliers to develop business relationships that help facilitate a more streamlined approach to sourcing while ensuring high levels of service are maintained.

  • Identify inefficient processes and suggest improvements, while double-checking your own and others’ work to ensure high-quality, accurate delivery.
  • Coordinate stakeholder input and collaborate cross-functionally to develop solutions that connect people, process and technology.
  • Manage multiple tasks and competing priorities, making sound trade-offs on time and resources to meet deadlines with minimal error.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with internal teams, suppliers and customers.
  • Analyze data and patterns to identify issues, research solutions, and elevate complex or unprecedented problems as needed.
  • Develop a working understanding of the business and its financial impact, and apply that knowledge to anticipate organizational and customer needs.
  • Respond to stakeholder requests accurately, professionally and on time.
  • Apply knowledge of international import/export regulations (customs, tariffs, duties, security) and support ordering, shipping and warehousing processes.
