We are currently seeking an Ocean Freight Country Manager (f/m) responsible for operational and procurement activities in maritime transport across Poland, ensuring process efficiency and workflow continuity both domestically and internationally. The role also includes optimal management of relationships with ship operators, negotiation of competitive end‑to‑end rates, tender execution, and supporting maritime transport business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage maritime freight operations (FCL, LCL, rail) and coordinate interdepartmental collaboration.
• Create and implement an ocean freight development strategy at the country level.
• Build relationships with ship operators and partners and negotiate rates and agreements.
• Oversee procurement and tender processes to ensure competitive solutions.
• Monitor the market and develop business based on trends and client needs.
• Ensure financial results (P&L) are met in cooperation with branch management.

Requirements

• Experience in procurement and carrier management within the logistics and maritime freight industry.
• Higher education (preferred fields: management, logistics, supply chain or related).
• Experience in tender management and contract negotiation.
• Excellent knowledge of the logistics and maritime transport market.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Fluent in English.
