Job summary

West Virginia University Health System is seeking a Tier 1 Network/IT Support Analyst to provide first-level support for network services and infrastructure across WVUHS facilities and affiliates. You will be the onsite representative coordinating with Tier 2/3 engineers in Enterprise Information Systems.

Responsibilities include installing network and security appliances, basic server/OS troubleshooting, application access support, and maintaining network documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field OR High School Diploma with 2 years networking/server experience.
• Experience with end-users and across multiple teams including change management and ticketing software.
• Ability to install/rack basic network and security appliances; monitor UPS and backup power.

Responsibilities

• Network Support: install and rack basic network and security appliances; support data networking equipment; monitor UPS/backup power.
• Server Architecture/OS Support: assist with troubleshooting basic servers and Windows OS; provide legacy server support; assist with system consolidation projects.
• Application Support: identify/report application issues and assist with user access problems.
• Infrastructure Management: update rack layouts, cabling procedures, and maintain network devices and databases.
• Team Building: mentor and train colleagues; participate in departmental and project teams; communicate with offsite teammates.
