.NET Backend Engineer

Job summary

GROWE is seeking a seasoned backend engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable services using C# and .NET 6+. You will work with microservices, asynchronous messaging, and Kafka, ensuring robust authentication/authorization and strong data modeling with PostgreSQL.

You'll contribute to observability, deployment in Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows, collaborating with DevOps and QA, while participating in on-call rotations and continuous performance improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial backend development with C#/ .NET 6+ and ASP.NET Core.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with asynchronous communication and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL performance tuning (PostgreSQL a plus).
• Familiar with ORMs such as Entity Framework.
• Strong knowledge of authentication/authorization (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect).
• Understanding observability and monitoring in production systems.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform is a plus.

Work with relational databases, transactional flows, and optimize query performance;

Identify performance bottlenecks and contribute tosystem design improvements;

Contribute toservice observability (logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, monitoring);

Manage deployment configurations and manifests inKubernetes environments;

Work inaGitOps setup and participate indeployment and operational ownership;

Collaborate with DevOps teams oninfrastructure-related changes (including Terraform workflows);

Participate inon-call rotation and handle production incidents;

Identify technical debt and propose improvements;

Perform high-quality code reviews focusing onmaintainability, performance, and consistency.

We need your professional experience:

5+years ofcommercial backend development experience with C#/ .NET (6+), .NET Core/ ASP.NET Core;

Solid understanding ofmicroservices architecture and distributed systems;

Experience with asynchronous communication and event-driven architectures;

Experience with message brokers (Kafka or similar);

Strong knowledge ofrelational databases (SQL, transactions, indexing, performance tuning), PostgreSQL will beaplus;

Experience with ORM tools (e.g., Entity Framework);

Experience writing Unit and Integration tests;

Understanding ofauthentication and authorization (OAuth 2.0, OpenIDConnect);

Good understanding ofsoftware design principles (SOLID, separation ofconcerns, testability);

Understanding ofobservability and monitoring inproduction systems;

Experience troubleshooting performance and memory issues;

Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform will beaplus;

Experience with Grafana, Loki, Tempo will beaplus.
