Job summary

Capgemini Polska is seeking a capable Database Administrator to deliver and support enterprise database solutions for clients in the financial sector. You will ensure reliable, high-performing database environments, contributing to daily operations and transformative projects, including cloud initiatives.

You will collaborate with DB Engineers and Consultants to design, maintain, and improve systems critical to business continuity, with a focus on MSSQL, backups, performance tuning, and HA

Qualifications

• Experience with MSSQL administration.
• Knowledge of backup, restore, and performance tuning practices.
• Experience with High Availability clustered systems.
• Strong understanding of database maintenance and administration.
• English communication; French an advantage.
• Exposure to other DB engines (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, DB2) and Windows Server/virtualization or networking topics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DB Engineers and Consultants on enterprise solutions for financial sector clients.
• Support RUN operations and large-scale project activities.
• Participate in database administration, including maintenance and optimization.
• Manage backup and restore processes to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor and improve database performance and tuning.
• Work with clustered High Availability systems.
• Cooperate with cross-functional teams on cloud transformation projects.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements of database environments.
