CD PROJEKT RED w Warszawie poszukuje specjalisty ds. motion capture. Do Twoich zadań należeć będzie obsługa sesji nagraniowych, przetwarzanie danych mocap i utrzymanie narzędzi mocap, pracując z zespołami animacji nad realistycznymi ruchami postaci.

Wymagana minimum 3 lata doświadczenia w mocap, znajomość Vicon/OptiTrack/Qualisys oraz narzędzi takich jak MotionBuilder lub Maya. Praca w biurze z możliwością hybrydy, relokacja konieczna, z bogatym pakietem benefitów.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Przygotowanie, konfiguracja i obsługa sprzętu motion capture podczas sesji nagraniowych.
• Wsparcie i koordynacja sesji capturingowej w wewnętrznych zespołach.
• Przetwarzanie danych mocap: tracking, solving, retargeting i przygotowanie danych do animacji.
• Utrzymanie i diagnostyka sprzętu i oprogramowania mocap.
• Identyfikowanie i rozwiązywanie problemów technicznych podczas nagrań i postprodukcji.
• Ulepszanie pipeline’u, narzędzi i skryptów mocap.

Job description

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Motion Capture Specialist to join our team in Warsaw. In this hands-on role, you'll be involved in every stage of the motion capture process, from preparing and running recording sessions to processing captured data. You'll work closely with our teams to help bring characters and performances to life in our games.

You’ll also help maintain and improve our motion capture technology, tools, and workflows, contributing directly to the quality of our animations. We're looking for someone who enjoys combining technical problem-solving with creative collaboration and is eager to keep learning and improving the way we work.

Daily Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and operate motion capture equipment for recording sessions.
• Support and coordinate motion capture shoots, working closely with internal teams to meet production needs.
• Process motion capture data, including tracking, solving, retargeting, and preparing data for further animation work.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motion capture hardware, software, and studio equipment.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during recording sessions and post-production.
• Contribute to improving our motion capture pipeline, tools, and scripts to support efficient workflows.
• Collaborate with animators, technical teams, and other disciplines to ensure high-quality motion capture data.

• At least 3 years of professional experience working with motion capture systems, such as Vicon, OptiTrack, or Qualisys.
• Experience working with motion capture in a production environment.
• Familiarity with Autodesk MotionBuilder or Maya.
• Attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot technical challenges during recording sessions.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing production needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including working with performers and production teams.
• Openness to feedback, sharing knowledge, and continuously improving workflows.
• Working proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

Nice to Have

• Basic understanding of timecode synchronisation.
• Experience working with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, HSL, or JavaScript) or a willingness to develop them.
• Additional scripting or technical skills that could help improve motion capture tools and workflows.

Working mode

• In-office in a hybrid or full-time capacity in Warsaw, Poland. Relocation is required.

Estimated pay range for this position: 11 300– 20 200 PLN gross monthly. Final offers are dependent on job-related factors like experience and qualifications.
