ipracujzdalnie.pl seeks a Mobile Solution Architect to lead end-to-end architecture for iOS/Android platforms, selecting native, cross-platform, or hybrid approaches. Mobile Solution Architect

location: Gdańsk

Position Description

• Analysis of business needs and functional and non-functional requirements.
• Designing the target architecture of solutions, integration methods, data flow and communication with external systems.
• Designing scalable integrations, APIs and multi-platform solutions.
• Making and justifying decisions regarding technologies, frameworks, libraries and tools.
• Assessing the impact of architectural decisions on performance, security, maintenance, scalability and implementation cost.
• Preparing architectural documentation, diagrams, technical standards and recommendations for teams.
• Conducting discovery conversations with clients and identifying real needs, constraints and risks.
• Presenting the proposed architecture, technological solutions and estimates.
• Supporting the preparation of proposals, estimates, responses to requests for proposals and RFPs.
• Technically leading development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Organizing the technical part of Sprint 0, including preparing environments, repositories, CI/CD, coding, testing and security standards.
• Defining and enforcing clean code standards, good architectural practices and quality principles.
• Conducting architecture reviews and supporting the team during code review.
• Mentoring less experienced team members and supporting them in solving difficult technical problems.
• Identifying technical risks and communicating them to project stakeholders.
• Collaborating with UX/UI, QA, backend, frontend, mobile, DevOps and Delivery teams.
• Supporting the responsible use of AI tools in the development, testing, code review and documentation process.
• Ensuring high standards of security, data protection and compliance of solutions with GDPR requirements.

Additional Responsibilities For The Mobile Path

• Designing the architecture of mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Choosing the appropriate approach: native, cross-platform or hybrid solutions.
• Designing mobile app integrations with APIs, backend services and external systems.
• Overseeing security, performance, offline operation, data storage and integration with mobile device features.
• Supporting teams in publishing, maintaining and developing production applications.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a role involving architectural responsibility or technical project leadership, e.g., Solution Architect, Software Architect, Tech Lead, or Senior Developer.
• Many years of practical experience in building and deploying applications.
• Ability to design complete end-to-end solutions, not just individual components.
• Very good knowledge of design patterns, clean architecture, clean code principles, and modular system design.
• Experience in designing APIs, integrating with external systems, and backend solutions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, test automation, code review, and quality assurance practices.
• Experience with cloud architecture, e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Ability to assess trade-offs between business value, time-to-delivery, cost, and technical complexity.
• Experience running technical workshops, client meetings, or solution presentations.
• Ability to communicate technical issues to both development teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Very good command of English, minimum B2, enabling comfortable work with clients and international teams.

Specialist requirements

• Very good knowledge of mobile application architecture.
• Practical experience building native iOS or Android applications.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Swift and SwiftUI, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native, or Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Good understanding of differences between native and cross-platform solutions and their impact on performance, security, maintenance, and product evolution.
• Experience publishing, maintaining, and evolving production applications.
• Knowledge of mobile app performance topics, mobile device security, data storage, offline functionality, and API integration.
• Architectural experience in Flutter combined with a solid understanding of native iOS and Android will be particularly valued.
