Job summary

ART2HIRE is seeking a Mobile QA Engineer for a fully remote, full-time position with a Silicon Valley startup focused on privacy-powered mobile VPN solutions. You will test across iOS and Android, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help ensure a reliable, seamless user experience across multiple mobile apps.

The role demands 1.5–2+ years in mobile testing, strong QA fundamentals, and hands-on experience with test tooling, APIs, and analytics.

Qualifications

• 1.5–2+ years of testing mobile apps (iOS/Android).
• Experience with bug-tracking systems.
• Experience writing test documentation, designs, use cases, test plans.
• Knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
• REST API testing experience.
• Practical GitHub usage.
• Experience with analytics (Firebase, GA).
• Familiar with Jira, TestRail, and Testomat.
• MacOS operating experience.
• Knowledge of Google Play/App Store payments ecosystem.
• Ability to write use cases and testing scenarios.
• Strong communication skills in English (Intermediate+).
• Arabic language knowledge is a must.
• Ukrainian or Polish proficiency.
• Excellent ownership and proactive problem-solving attitude.

About project and role:

The product VPN - Super Unlimited Proxy is a Virtual Private Network that provides users online privacy and anonymity by creating a private network from a public internet connection.

The company has over 44M MAUs (and growing) with a solid customer base in the US and worldwide. In iOS, Out of the top markets we track worldwide, upon searching for the keyword VPN in the App Store, they are the #1 product in 32 out of 40 countries follow (including in the US, all of Western Europe, etc.) and in the top 3 for all 40 countries. In addition, they have been consistently ranked in the top 10 productivity apps in the US, right up with Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.

The product has >1.6M very high-quality ratings in iOS alone.

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic Mobile QA Engineers with a solid background in mobile testing to join the teams working on the additional products: 2nd Line+ Second Phone Number, and eSIM.

In this role, you will work across multiple mobile applications, helping ensure reliable performance and a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with Mobile Development, DevOps, Web, and other stakeholders.
• Help the Customer Support team investigate and troubleshoot user issues.
• Review and clarify requirements before development begins.
• Create, review, update, and execute test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing across mobile applications.
• Participate in pre-release testing and post-release validation.
• Report and track bugs, verify fixes and changes, and monitor issues after release.

Requirements:

• 1.5 - 2+ years of experience in testing mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Experience with bug-tracking systems
• Experience in writing test documentation, design techniques, use cases, test plans, etc.
• Experience with DB and knowledge of SQL;
• Understanding of CI/CD process and tools
• REST API
• Practical experience with GitHub
• Experience with analytics (Firebase, Google Analytics, etc.)
• Tools: Postman Charles, and JMeter
• Payment testing: subscriptions, different payment methods
• Practical experience in API testing using tools such as Postman will be a strong plus.
• Good understanding of UX/UI principles
• Good knowledge of SDLC;
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment in a rapidly growing company
• Experience with Jira, TestRail, and (Testomat)
• OS: MacOS
• Knowledge of the Google Play/App Store ecosystem (working with payments)
• Ability to write use cases and describe testing scenarios.
