Svitla Systems Inc. in Poland is seeking an ML Engineer for a full-time role to delivery production GenAI/ML features for ESG risk management. You will collaborate with AI engineers, data engineers, product managers, and architects to deploy AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years delivering production AI/ML systems with Python and SQL; strong software engineering basics (testing, CI/CD, code reviews).
• Proven experience building/ deploying LLM apps in production (RAG, embeddings, vector search, model versioning).
• Model training/evaluation with PyTorch/scikit-learn, reproducible pipelines, experiment tracking.

Responsibilities

• Deliver production-ready GenAI/ML features for the supply chain risk management domain.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, Data Engineers, Product Managers, and Architects to bring AI solutions into production.
• Build reliable LLM systems (RAG, multi-agent workflows) with focus on latency, cost efficiency, and trustworthiness.
• Train and fine-tune models using PyTorch and/or TensorFlow, bringing them into production.
• Own model evaluation and rollout, including human-in-the-loop review, A/B testing, and model versioning.
• Operate and monitor AI/ML systems in production, including quality metrics and drift detection.

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a ML Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Poland. Our client is the leading provider of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance and risk management software, data, and consulting services focusing on Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S), Operational Risk Management, and Product Stewardship. The Chicago-based company serves more than 3,000 customers and over 1million individual users across 70+ countries. They are a portfolio company of Blackstone, a U.S.-based alternative asset investment company that focuses on private equity, technology and innovation, and more.

This role requires working hours with overlap till 7:00 PM CET

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience delivering production AI/ML systems; strong Python, SQL and software engineering fundamentals (testing, CI/CD, code reviews).
• Proven experience building and deploying LLM applications in production, including RAG, embeddings, vector search, and model versioning.
• Experience with model training and evaluation (PyTorch, scikit-learn), including reproducible pipelines and experiment tracking.
• Experience with cloud deployment and operations on AWS and/or Azure, including security/IAM, scalability, and cost awareness.
• Ability to design clean APIs and services (e.g., FastAPI) and communicate technical trade-offs effectively in English.
• Experience with agentic frameworks such as PydanticAI and LangGraph.

Nice to have

• Experience with information retrieval and search, including hybrid search, reranking, and vector databases.
• Experience with ML platforms and tools such as MLflow, AWS SageMaker/Bedrock, Azure ML, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and containers, using tools such as Terraform and Docker.
• Familiarity with responsible AI and AI security practices, including prompt-injection defenses.
