Midwest Region Licensed Clinical Provider NP/IBCLC

Virtual

POSITION: The Midwest Region Licensed Clinical Provider (NP/IBCLC) is responsible for ensuring direct patient care is evidence-based and aligns with SimpliFed's maternal health program requirements. Provider will conduct lactation-related clinical assessments, oversee remote patient monitoring, administer CPOE orders within scope of practice, and screen for maternal mental health.

ROLE: The Clinical Provider (NP/IBCLC) upholds the highest standards of care for the company and its patients. Providers engage in telehealth, virtual video, and appointments with patients to support their personal goals and those prescribed by the health care team(s). Providers are responsible for clinical decision-making in alignment with SimpliFed's clinical protocols for Professional Services.

VENUE: This role works full time remotely using SimpliFed approved devices.

POSITION SUMMARY: The SimpliFed Clinical Provider (NP/IBCLC) conducts professional services consultations with patients via telehealth. Providers assess patients and provide education on lactation, infant feeding, hypertension, gestational diabetes, anemia, thyroid levels, maternal mental health, and related topics. They document findings in the exam form, provide resources, schedule follow-up appointments as needed, and make referrals to outside and referring providers based on patient needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in the clinical field (Nurse Practitioner)
• Professional licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the governing board
• Active medical licensure in good standing across the Midwest Region in the following states: Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin
• Professional certifications as International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) or Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) in good standing
• 3 years of direct clinical experience in healthcare settings with a minimum of 2 years as a CLC/IBCLC
• Interest in maternal health and improving outcomes
• Ability to provide education and clinical support to empower families in baby feeding and infant care
• Ability to work independently and make decisions aligned with SimpliFed policies
• Strong active listening, judgment, and communication skills; solid charting abilities
• Knowledge of clinical workflows, healthcare quality and compliance standards, EHR data management, clinical documentation, HIPAA, and related regulations
• Ability to accept feedback and improve service for patients, partners, and the mission

POSITION SPECIFICS:

• Services include maternal health and perinatal care, such as lactation and infant feeding by IBCLC/CLC professionals
• Remote patient monitoring for blood pressure and gestational diabetes by credentialed professionals
• Perinatal mental health services offered by all providers and PMHCs
• Other maternal health topics (nutrition, anemia, thyroid issues)
• Communication with patients via the company’s EMR and virtual video platform
• Focus on clinical relevance, health literacy, and evidence-based decisions
• Review intake forms, take history, and perform virtual physical evaluations for pregnant or postpartum patients
• Perinatal Mental Health assessments using standardized tools and observation of mental state
• Provide education related to appointment topics
• Obtain relevant medical history and complete exam forms with start/end times and applicable diagnoses/codes
• Document all events and recommendations the same day as the appointment
• Develop individual care plans with instructions, resources, and follow-up
• Complete referrals/coordination of care as needed and schedule subsequent appointments
