Middle Accountant

The Middle Accountant will ensure the financial integrity of the N-iX Poland legal entity to the N-iX companies and regulatory compliance by following local GAAP and IFRS standards. This role involves timely and accurate preparation of monthly reporting packages, collection of all primary accounting documents and registers, posting of accounting transactions in the Optima Comarch ERP system and performing detailed reconciliations. It is essential to ensure that all financial information related to N-iX Poland business operations is recorded accurately and completely within the required timeframe while maintaining compliance with both local and international accounting standards.

Duties

1. Regulatory Compliance:
   • Ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS and any other relevant regulatory requirements.
   • Ensure proper setup of accounting software to meet local reporting requirements and document flows.
   • Ensure tax and ZUS compliance of N-iX Poland (preparation and timely filing of all necessary tax returns and other statutory forms).
   • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and ensure timely implementation within the company.
2. Month-End Closing:
   • Ensure the timely monthly closing procedures following the HQ timeline.
   • Prepare and provide necessary inputs for bookkeeping, including preparation of primary and additional supporting documents (if required by the Polish regulations or local practices), and book journal entries for the month-end close.
3. Financial Reconciliations:
   • Perform and review detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
   • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring all financial information aligns with supporting documents.
4. Cooperate with Outsourced Accountants:
   • Provide to outsourced Accountants all information, necessary for statutory, statistical and tax reporting.
   • Provide guidance and feedback to external teams to ensure alignment of financial accounting to a Group accounting policy.
5. Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
6. Assist Senior colleagues with their ad hoc requests per provided detailed instructions or templates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related professional experience in Accountancy ( Accountant or GL Specialist positions).
• Upper-intermediate English.
• ACCA (at least in progress) or equivalent professional qualification will be a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, proficiency with accounting software Optima Comarch - necessary.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex financial processes independently.
