Job summary

Amentum is seeking a MID Technical Editor to review and edit intelligence products for grammar, clarity, and consistency, ensuring alignment with IC standards and classification guidelines. You will collaborate with authors to refine narrative structure and apply specialized vocabulary across technical materials.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree, 8 years of experience, and TS/SCI clearance with poly.

Qualifications

MID Technical Editor reviews intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency.
Ensures that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary.
Applies the 200 Series ODNI ICDs: Analytic Standards and Sourcing Requirements where appropriate; uses IC guidance for classification.
Works with authors to revise products for narrative organization and to negotiate revisions as needed.

Responsibilities

Reviews intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency.
Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure content supports and aligns with the accompanying text.
Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
Publishes products in CORE, message traffic, and other networks; disseminates warning products and maintains production metrics.
