Job summary

Visa Hunt in Poland is seeking an Embedded Engineer to design and implement components for IoT devices, integrating firmware with hardware and cloud connectivity. You will contribute to testing, debugging, and documentation while collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver reliable solutions.

You will work on embedded systems with cloud connectivity, FOTA, and modern protocols (LTE/BLE/OpenThread/MQTT), using Yocto Linux and real-device debugging tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional C programming experience.
• Experience with cloud connectivity applications, including monitoring and FOTA.
• Background in LTE, BLE, OpenThread, MQTT, and cybersecurity.
• Practical experience with Yocto Linux.
• Debugging embedded systems on real devices (J-Link, ST-Link) and resolving system-level issues.
• Upper-Intermediate English.

Responsibilities

• Design separate components, modules, classes, devices.
• Code, debug, document, and maintain portions of software and hardware.
• Perform different types of testing.
• Participate in estimation and planning sessions.
• Contribute to technical project and user documentation.
• Assist test engineers and support personnel in solving technical issues.
• Participate in conference calls with the Customer and partners.
• Comply with engineering practices, standards, and quality criteria.
• Report status and progress according to project demands.
• Spot deficiencies and suggest improvements to processes and tooling.
• Escalate technical issues to Architect, Team Lead, and Project Manager.
