Job summary

Intel Corporation invites an undergraduate Software Engineering Intern to work on Datacenter Media Software, focusing on real-time media, AI-based analysis and high-performance code running on Xeon platforms.

You will design, develop and optimize media software, integrate AI tools for transcription, object detection and video search, and contribute to open-source projects in a hybrid Poland-based setup.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field.
• Comfortable working in C and Python, and writing Bash scripts.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, including the command line and building and debugging software.
• Understanding of CI, code reviews and AI-assisted programming.
• Basic knowledge of server and networking hardware and lab equipment.
• Basic knowledge of AI/machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development and optimization of media software across high-performance transport, codecs and AI-based analysis.
• Build and integrate AI tools and agent workflows for media understanding like transcription and semantic search.
• Measure and improve performance on Intel CPUs, GPUs and Ethernet NICs.
• Strengthen software quality through test automation, conformance and CI pipelines.
• Contribute to open-source projects and collaborate with internal and external teams.
• Continue learning and apply new skills to align with Intel objectives.
