Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern (Mechanical) to support process engineers in machining technology development. You will help prepare work instructions, control plans, and tool cards, while analyzing CNC parameters and tool wear under guidance.

You’ll gather data and assist CAD/CAM model updates in a hands-on production environment. Ideal candidates are final-year students or recent graduates in mechanical/production engineering with basic machining knowledge and strong

Qualifications

• Field of study in mechanical/production engineering or related disciplines.
• Basic knowledge of machining processes and reading drawings.
• Understanding of cutting parameters and tool geometry.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software is advantageous.
• Attention to data accuracy and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to learn and develop in manufacturing engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support process engineers in developing and optimizing machining technologies.
• Prepare process documentation: work instructions, control plans, tool cards.
• Analyze cutting parameters, tools, and cycle times under supervision.
• Collect and organize data for analyses: CNC params, tool wear, scrap, times.
• Assist in creating or updating CAD/CAM models.
