Job summary

Lyten, Inc. in Poland is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical development of Li-ion battery systems for grid-scale and commercial energy storage. You’ll design modules, packs, racks, frames, and enclosures while collaborating with cross‑functional teams in Poland and Sweden.

The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s in mechanical engineering, 2+ years of design experience, strong CAD skills, and excellent English. Prior startup experience is a plus in Lyten’s fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical design experience in Li‑ion battery systems.
• Experience with mechanical joining methods.
• Strong hands-on CAD experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Experience in international teams and startup environments advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design of Li‑ion battery modules, packs, racks, frames, and enclosures.
• Interact with customers to capture use cases and requirements.
• Brainstorm and develop concepts with cross-functional teams.
• Perform design for loads, vibrations, and structural integrity.
• Design protective enclosures against environmental impacts.
• Apply cost optimization and DFM principles.
• Participate in Design FMEA sessions.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings for customers and manufacturing.
