All about the role

The Mechanical Designer/Development Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing product components (metal sheet, plastic, cast&molded parts), subgroups, and modules. This role involves driving global implementation of new and technically efficient solutions, developing innovative technical solutions, concepts, and innovations aimed at cost reduction and enhancing product experience.

What you will do
  • Design new parts according to the product specifications
  • Focus on manufacturability and cost driven solutions
  • Optimize existing product components, subgroups, and modules.
  • Drive global implementation of new and technically efficient solutions.
  • Develop and bring to life new technical solutions, concepts, and innovations.
  • Release technical documentation on global mechanical components and subsystems within the PLM-System.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Ensure respect for cultural diversity and maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
Who you are
  • Strong knowledge of 3D design tools (Catia as preferred)
  • Strong understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and assembly principles of materials like metal sheet, plastic, cast&molded
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent educational background
  • Good knowledge of home appliance products (or similar products)
  • Track of experience in consumer goods product development
  • Experience in a related field.
  • Simulation competencies as preferred.
