Job summary

ALGOTEQUE seeks a skilled mechanical designer to join our automotive and e-mobility engineering initiatives. You will design and develop mechanical components, create and maintain 3D models and drawings, and translate requirements into manufacturable solutions.

Join a cross-functional team, work with plastics, sheet metal, and precision mechanics, and help drive designs from concept through production readiness while collaborating with international colleagues in a dynamic consultancy

Qualifications

• Solid, practical experience in 3D mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency in at least one CAD environment (CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or Creo).
• Experience in plastics/injection-moulded components, sheet metal, and precision mechanics.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working with cross-functional or international engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, products, machines, and complex assemblies for automotive and e-mobility applications.
• Create, modify, and maintain 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Translate technical and business requirements into functional and manufacturable design solutions.
• Develop and implement engineering changes and design modifications, ensuring consistency across the product documentation.
• Work with materials and technologies such as plastics, sheet metal, or precision mechanics.
• Cooperate with engineers from different disciplines, including electrical, electronics, manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering.
• Work closely with manufacturing and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and smooth transition to production.
• Participate in design reviews, problem-solving activities, and continuous product improvements.
• Support the development process from initial concepts and prototypes through validation and production readiness.
• Contribute engineering expertise to projects involving next-generation automotive and e-mobility solutions.

What You Will Do

Profile / Requirements

• Solid, practical experience in 3D mechanical design and product development.
• Good knowledge of at least one professional CAD environment, such as CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or Creo.
• Proven experience in one or more mechanical engineering domains, particularly:
• Plastics and injection-moulded components
• Sheet metal and metal structures
• Precision mechanics
• Mechanical assemblies and complex components
• Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to assess design solutions from both an engineering and manufacturing perspective.
• Experience working with cross-functional or international engineering teams.
• Communicative English, allowing you to participate effectively in meetings and collaborate with international stakeholders.
• A practical, analytical approach to engineering challenges and the ability to turn requirements into reliable technical solutions.

Nice To Have

• Experience with mechanical calculations and CAE simulations.
• Knowledge of tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, HyperWorks, or similar CAE environments.
• Experience in the automotive, e-mobility, manufacturing, machinery, or industrial engineering sectors.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA, prototyping, validation, testing, and production implementation.
• Experience working according to structured product development or engineering processes.
