Job summary

Air Liquide Global Engineering & Construction Solutions Poland seeks a skilled Material Manager to control material flow on global construction sites, ensuring availability, quality and budget adherence. Based in Poland, you will report to the Discipline Manager, Construction, and travel worldwide as needed.

You will oversee warehouses, lay-down areas, coordination with procurement and suppliers, and lead a site material team, with focus on safety (HSES) and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction/site management.
• Proficiency with material handling systems and site logistics.
• Strong knowledge of international and company technical codes; safety first.

Responsibilities

• Control the complete material flow on site to ensure timely delivery, quality and budget.
• Plan and manage site infrastructure, warehouses and lay-down areas.
• Coordinate with procurement, expediting, shipping and suppliers.
• Receive/issue materials to subcontractors with proper documentation and QC.
• Identify surplus, missing, or damaged materials and report accordingly.
• Monitor site material handling with focus on safety, quality and erection schedules.
• Prepare weekly/monthly status reports and support site close-out.

As part of the site management organization, you will control the material flow on global construction sites using standard company methods and equipment to ensure materials are available on time, in the required quality, quantity, and budget. In this role, you will report directly to the Discipline Manager, Construction. The candidate must be based in Poland and fully willing and ready to work on construction sites worldwide (high mobility required).Key tasks & responsibilities:* Control the complete material flow on site using standard company methods and systems to ensure materials are available on time, in the required quality, quantity, and budget.* Assist in planning, organizing, and managing site infrastructure, including warehouses and lay-down areas, and handles scrap material disposal and spare parts.* Coordinate with procurement, expediting, shipping, and local/foreign suppliers for all incoming and outgoing materials.* Receive and issue materials to subcontractors, ensuring proper documentation, quality certificates, and material coverage analysis.* Identify, trace, and report surplus, missing, short, or damaged materials following Field Quality Control procedures.* Monitor site material handling performance with a focus on field safety (HSES), quality standards, and erection schedules.* Prepare weekly/monthly status reports and inputs for the Monthly Progress Report and Site Close-Out Report (lessons learned).* Lead, instruct, and manage the site material team and subcontractors, holding regular review meetings and making operational decisions in alignment with corporate policies.**Are you a MATCH?*** Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.* Proficiency in construction management tools, material handling systems, site logistics, schedules, productivities, and rigging.* Knowledge of international and company technical codes, contractual requirements, and formal business writing.* Strong personal commitment to safety (HSES) and the ability to promote safety standards across field operations.* Proven leadership capabilities to manage teams and subcontractors, resolve conflicts, and make fast, solution-focused decisions under changing conditions.* Fluent English, clear and transparent communication skills, active listening, high integrity, and excellent organization in managing competing priorities.* Candidates must be eligible to work in Poland and demonstrate high mobility with full readiness to work on construction sites worldwide.* Knowledge of the SAP system would be an added value. ### **We Offer*** An impactful, engaging role within a leading global organization.* A comprehensive compensation package complemented by dedicated site allowances.* Competitive benefits including health, retirement, and wellness programs.* The opportunity to work on cutting-edge, sustainable energy and industrial gas technologies.* A working culture that values safety, diversity, and continuous professional growth.
