The Germany Marketing Manager is responsible for delivering the German & Austrian marketing strategy through a consumer facing Omni channel proposition encompassing acquisition, reactivation and retention activity to drive engagement across our target audiences. The individual will work on developing a consumer journey proposition to drive engagement amongst the retail online trading audience. This role serves as an ambassador to follow the CMC Markets models of brand engagement and maintain a focus on driving meaningful customer awareness.
Key responsibilities:
Marketing strategy:
- Create, deliver and manage the German & Austrian marketing strategy, striving to deliver best possible ROI.
- Generate sales leads through the delivery of above/below the line marketing communications, in line with targets.
- Conduct competitor analysis, client surveys and market research as required
- Implement and oversee client retention and re-engagement activities
- Organise and promote sales seminars and events in the region
- Provide monthly reporting to Head of Marketing - Europe
Brand Management:
- Based on consumer insight, roll out new campaign creatives, ensuring you maintain a consistent global design language, positioning CMC Markets as a premium provider and to stand out against competition.
- Be a brand guardian, maintaining the CMC Markets brand in accordance with global guidelines and always looking for opportunities to promote and grow the CMC Markets brand in region.
Campaign Management & Intergraded Communications:
- Run consistent campaigns as well as tactical campaigns and product launches.
- All campaigns to be integrated across all channels and across all customer touch points, maintaining a good marketing mix to include ATL channels (where budget permits).
- Overseeing and approving translations for all regional email communications and website content.
PR & Content Management:
- Manage local PR strategy to communicate CMC Markets corporate narrative and brand story, raising brand awareness, achieving positive brand sentiment and to position CMC Markets as thought leaders.
- Develop a well-planned purpose for all content created ensuring everything is aligned with media and PR.
Digital Marketing:
- Monitor and analyse regional website and digital advertising performance with support from the Digital team.
- Work with the centralised Digital team to implement all acquisition initiatives including website, online campaigns, landing pages, SEM optimisation, social media and other new media initiatives.
- Work with Group to deliver local social strategy to ensure we are using the appropriate channels social for brand awareness, education, engagement and customer service.
- Advocate for community management, managing all local reviews and all social engagement to protect and steer brand sentiment
Budget Management:
- Plan and manage the regional Marketing spend, ensuring alignment with the allocated budget
Team & Relationship Management:
- Effectively manage a small Marketing team in Frankfurt to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the Group Marketing strategy, at a local level
- Build strong relationships with external agencies, where appropriate
- Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training
- When dealing with all customers, clients or colleagues ensure that we provide a clear, fair and consistent high quality service that presents a professional and positive image of CMC Markets
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality
- Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable marketing management experience
- Marketing or relevant qualification
- Fluent German and English language
- Knowledge of digital marketing channels including SEM, PPC and affiliate programmes
- Experience of lead generation activities in B2C environment
- Strong copywriting skills and excellent attention to detail
- Autonomous worker with strong project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within fast paced, dynamic environment
- Self-motivated and driven; able to act on own initiative
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in Financial Services
- Financial derivatives / online trading marketing experience would be advantageous
- Customer lifecycle (retention, loyalty) experience
- Proficient in using Google Analytics
- PR management experience
