FRoSTA AG in Bydgoszcz is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Engineer to drive strategic development of production sites. You will lead automation initiatives, modernize lines, and ensure safe, compliant operations across our facilities.

With a mechanical/production engineering background and several years in manufacturing technology, you will collaborate with Process Engineering and Lean/CI teams to boost availability, speed, quality, and yield.

Qualificações

• Engineering degree in a relevant field and several years in manufacturing technology.
• Experience with automation, robotics and production systems integration.
• Knowledge of lean management and Six Sigma methods, strong problem solving.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and optimize production technology, implementing automation and line modernization.
• Improve plant performance in availability, speed, quality and yield with cross‑functional teams.
• Define technical standards and documentation for all sites and pursue continuous development.
• Coordinate fault analysis, predictive maintenance, and supplier management from specification to handover.
• Oversee investment projects in new systems and modular line concepts, tracking deadlines and costs.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and energy efficiency standards.

For our Production Operations Management department at our Bydgoszcz site, we are looking for a Production Engineer with immediate effect.

Your tasks: Together we make the difference.

As a Manufacturing Technology Engineer, you will provide significant impetus for the strategic orientation and technological development of our production sites.

• Technical development : You will constantly develop our production technology – to this end, you will implement and optimize automation solutions and plant modernizations for existing and new production lines.
• Increased productivity : Together with the Process Engineering and Lean/CI departments, you will improve plant performance in terms of availability, speed, quality, rejects, yield, etc.
• Standardization : You define technical standards, specifications and documentation specifications for all production sites and pursue continuous development.
• Incident management : You coordinate failure management, fault rectification and error analysis – your predictive maintenance management ensures standards that ensure reliable plant availability and reduce downtimes.
• Investments : From a technical point of view, you will supervise investment projects, e.g. for new freezer/refrigeration systems, automated unpacking stations, quality controls and modular line concepts, keeping an eye on deadlines and costs.
• Implementation : You manage external suppliers and technical teams – from the technical specification to factory and on-site acceptance to handover to the company.
• Safety : You will ensure compliance with all requirements for environmental and occupational safety, hygiene, food safety as well as energy-efficient and sustainable production.
• Knowledge transfer : In workshops and coaching sessions, you train technicians and machine operators to build up technical know-how in the company in the long term.

Your profile: We like what makes you special.

• Successfully completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, production engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering, food technology, industrial automation or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience – at least 3 years – in the field of manufacturing technology, ideally in the food industry or FMCG industry
• Expertise in automation, robotics and integration of production systems
• Knowledge of lean management and methods for process improvement (Six Sigma) as well as strong problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English – German or Polish depending on location
• Willingness to make occasional business trips to other FRoSTA plants
