Zimmer Biomet invites you to join the Manufacturing Supervisor Intern program, supporting front-line supervision and daily production activities. You will assist with shift operations, scheduling, and training coordination while contributing to safety, quality, and process improvements.

The internship provides exposure to operational records management, audits, and cross-functional collaboration across teams, within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in an academic program for the entire duration of the assignment.
• Must be at least a junior in an accredited engineering, manufacturing, operations management, industrial technology, business, or related field degree program.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the internship term.
• GPA of 3.0+ preferred.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisors with coordinating daily production activities and monitoring completion of assigned work within a department or value stream.
• Support shift operations by helping track production status, staffing needs, and schedule attainment.
• Observe and assist with safety, GMP, quality system, and environmental health requirements.
• Help maintain and organize operational records, training documentation, attendance information, and other controlled documents.
• Participate in routine floor audits, 5S activities, and process observations to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with communication of production issues and follow-up actions across teams.
