Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Manager of Master Data Governance to lead regional Local Data Stewards and drive MDM operations across the organization. You will manage multiple SAP-based data initiatives, ensure data quality, and align governance with business needs in a global environment.

The role requires strong leadership, experience with SAP modules MM/SD/FI/QM, and a proven track record in data migration and governance.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Master Data Management in a global environment.
• Strong SAP Master Data and Material Master expertise.
• Experience leading teams, projects, or mentoring stakeholders.
• Proven background in data migration and SAP implementations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP modules (MM, SD, FI, QM) and business processes.
• Experience with master data governance, data quality, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

Manager, Master Data Governance

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Provide operational management of Local Data Stewards in the region.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Fluency (written and spoken) in English
• 5-7 years of experience in Master Data Management within a global environment
• Strong SAP Master Data and Material Master expertise
• Experience leading teams, projects, or mentoring stakeholders
• Proven background in data migration and SAP implementations
• Strong knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI, QM) and business processes
• Experience with master data governance, data quality, and process improvement
• Ability to manage complex data across multiple systems and geographies
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
