Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to support manufacturing operations in Katowice, Poland. You will ensure equipment reliability, optimize maintenance processes, and lead technical improvement initiatives, reporting to the Maintenance Team Supervisor and working on site in Katowice.

The role involves collaboration with production, engineering, suppliers, and external service providers to improve machine performance and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in maintenance, industrial automation, manufacturing engineering, or equipment reliability engineering.
• Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• Communicative English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance teams in ensuring the continuous operation and reliability of manufacturing equipment and production lines.
• Lead root cause analysis activities and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring equipment failures.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies, maintenance plans, and equipment improvement initiatives using CMMS systems.
• Coordinate external contractors, service providers, and suppliers while supporting maintenance and capital investment projects.
• Drive equipment modernization, cost reduction, and continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and production uptime.

Job Description As a Maintenance Specialist, you will support manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment reliability, optimizing maintenance processes, and leading technical improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will work in a skilled and collaborative maintenance team. This team partners with production, engineering, suppliers, and external service providers to improve machine performance, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement. In this first-shift position, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical expertise while working with modern maintenance tools, CMMS systems, automation technologies, and AI-supported solutions that enhance troubleshooting, analysis, and decision-making. If you enjoy solving technical challenges, implementing improvements, and continuously expanding your skills in a manufacturing environment, this role is for you. You will report to the Maintenance Team Supervisor and work onsite in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

• Support maintenance teams in ensuring the continuous operation and reliability of manufacturing equipment and production lines.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in maintenance, industrial automation, manufacturing engineering, or equipment reliability engineering.
• Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
• Experience working with CMMS platforms such as Fiix, SAP PM, Maximo, or similar systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• Communicative English proficiency.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Experience in managing equipment implementation, modernization, or capital investment projects.
• Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers, and external service providers.
• Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, RCA, preventive or predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Experience with CAD/CAE systems.
• Experience with CNC machining, metrology equipment, or additive manufacturing (3D printing).
