Overview

We are now looking for a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Design Manager to join our growing team and lead the MEP design process across multiple high-value commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the M&E design process from concept through to construction.
• Review and assess design information to ensure compliance with client requirements, building regulations, and industry standards.
• Liaise with architects, structural engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure design integration and collaboration.
• Lead design meetings and technical workshops to resolve design-related issues.
• Ensure timely delivery of coordinated M&E design packages to support procurement and construction phases.
• Manage design risk and contribute to value engineering and cost control initiatives.
• Oversee design change management and ensure all changes are properly documented and communicated.
• Support pre-construction and construction teams with technical queries and design clarifications.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, sustainability, and quality standards throughout the design process.

Requirements

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in M&E design coordination or management within the commercial construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of building services systems, construction processes, and relevant regulations (e.g., Part L, BREEAM, CIBSE, BS/EN standards).
• Proven experience managing external design consultants and coordinating design packages.
• Proficient in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and BIM/Revit models.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
